1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website casteo.ai and of the services offered through it (the “Services”). The site and Services are operated by Casteo (“Casteo”, “we”, “us”), a registered trade name of Badocco and Lemieux Legal Consultants FZ LLC, holder of trading licence No. 47010713, registered in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates.

By using the site or the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and “you” means that company.

2. The Services

Casteo provides machine-learning and AI services, which currently include:

  • Features as a Service (FaaS) — on-demand computation of machine-learning features requested by name through our API, and the ability to publish features for use by others.
  • Deep RL Service — reinforcement learning applied to customer decisions and workflows.
  • Agentic AI and tailored LLM services — custom agentic workflows and language-model services.

We may add, change, or withdraw Services. Where a change materially reduces a paid Service you are using, we will give you reasonable notice.

3. Free trials

We may offer a free trial of a Service, such as the 7-day Features as a Service trial. Trials are provided for evaluation only. We may set usage limits on a trial, and we may end or refuse a trial at our discretion. Unless you enter a paid agreement with us, access ends when the trial period ends, and we are under no obligation to retain data associated with the trial afterwards.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in breach of any applicable law, or in breach of anyone’s privacy, intellectual property, or data protection rights;
  • submit data to the Services that you do not have the right to submit;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other users’ data, or our infrastructure;
  • interfere with or place an unreasonable load on the Services, including by circumventing rate limits or usage quotas;
  • reverse engineer the Services, or use them to build a directly competing service;
  • use the Services to generate or distribute unlawful, deceptive, or harmful material.

We may suspend access immediately if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.

5. Your data

You keep all rights in the data you submit to the Services (“Your Data”). You grant us a licence to host, process, and transmit Your Data strictly to the extent needed to provide the Services to you.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to provide Your Data to us, and for ensuring it does not contain material you are not permitted to share. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we do so as a processor and only on your instructions.

6. Features you publish

If you publish a feature for other users through Features as a Service, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the feature does not infringe anyone’s rights or expose personal data you were not permitted to share. You are responsible for what you publish. We may remove a published feature that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

7. Our intellectual property

The Services, the site, and everything in them other than Your Data — including software, models, documentation, branding, and the Casteo name — remain our property or that of our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services while your access is active, and nothing more.

8. Fees

Fees for paid Services are as agreed with you in writing or as published for the relevant Service. Unless stated otherwise, fees exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for. We may change pricing on reasonable notice, effective from your next billing period.

9. Availability and machine-learning outputs

We work to keep the Services available and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation unless we have separately agreed a service level with you in writing.

The Services produce statistical and machine-learning outputs. These are probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them, and for any decision you take on the basis of them. Do not use the Services as the sole basis for a decision with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences without appropriate human review.

To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or loss or corruption of data; and our total aggregate liability arising out of the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we discontinue a Service. On termination, your right to use the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, liability, and governing law — survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is material and you have an active paid Service, we will give you reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applicable in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The courts of Ras Al Khaimah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, except that we may bring proceedings to protect our intellectual property in any court of competent jurisdiction.
